Who You Are

You are an email HTML expert. You know how to code quality, responsive and good-looking email templates from scratch, or can modify existing templates easily to improve deliverability and the overall look and feel. You have at least a couple years experience with building and testing email, and you are familiar with how to optimize for every browser and device type and understand the challenges of making the email look good for as many people as possible. You can also make recommendations on the requests for how to improve any email design, based on current email best practices. You will report to the Director of Marketing.

Your Mission

The position is primarily to support both the Cloudsquare internal marketing, and our client projects by creating excellent email templates. This will both help us grow our own brand as we roll out various email campaigns to our leads and contacts and will help us provide better service to our clients.

Role Overview

• We will start the position with a series of one-time projects. These will include creating a series of new email templates for a client, and another series of one-time templates for Cloudsquare marketing to use
• If we can create a good working relationship, and you provide good quality work, we will continue to send projects to you, estimating about 5-10 hours per week, as per our workload
• Our needs are expected to increase over time, and we would love to grow the position to a formal part-time, and eventually full-time

Your Responsibilities

• Creating HTML email templates per the requirements of each project
• Delivering the results on time, and up to client specifications
• Communicating needs, updates and anything else effectively
• When appropriate, providing suggestions on how to improve an email beyond what is included in the design request

Your Qualifications

• 2-5 years in HTML email coding
• Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS.
• Javascript is a plus.
• You have good communication skills, are prompt to reply and aren’t afraid to speak up.
• You are open to both positive and negative feedback, and are happy to make corrections based on client feedback
• You love coding and enjoy making email look as good as it can
• You can work quickly, and meet deadlines, even under pressure
